Job summary

Princeton Management is seeking a building engineer for a beautiful housing complex in Detroit, MI. You will train and mentor maintenance staff, supervise the team, coordinate with the property manager to address resident concerns, and perform hands-on maintenance to uphold high standards.

This role requires at least 2 years in maintenance, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical skills, and general carpentry.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certifications (HVAC, EPA Refrigerant Recovery Certification, etc.) are advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical skills, and general carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Train and mentor maintenance staff; supervise and coordinate maintenance team including technicians and groundskeepers.
• Coordinate with property manager to address resident concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction; work hands-on with staff.
• Coordinate and prioritize maintenance requests; conduct regular inspections of apartments and common areas; ensure safety procedures are followed.
