Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Chief Building Engineer Supervisor to lead maintenance operations for a facility or portfolio. This role supervises the team, coordinates daily activities, and develops preventive maintenance programs to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Responsibilities include budget preparation, cost estimation, staff coaching, and ensuring projects meet quality standards. Candidates should have 5–8 years of related experience and be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of job-related experience or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Experience in supervision or shift management preferred.
• Strong organizational and scheduling capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to solve problems with standard and innovative methods.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Excellent math skills for budgeting and cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff, conduct performance evaluations, and coach team members.
• Coordinate daily activities, set schedules, and assign tasks.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and safety procedures.
• Ensure timely completion of work with quality standards and proper materials.
• Prepare material and labor estimates for work orders and projects.
• Establish and manage budgets for facilities maintenance.
• Respond to emergencies and escalate when needed.
• Apply innovative methods to improve department objectives.
