Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a hands-on Chief Building Engineer Supervisor to lead a team of technicians across a portfolio of buildings. You will mentor staff, coordinate daily activities, and drive preventive maintenance programs in alignment with CBRE standards.

The role requires 5–8 years of supervisory experience, strong budgeting skills, and proficiency with MS Office and CMMS. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of job-related experience; prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
• Must meet physical requirements including lifting 50 lbs or more.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the training and development of staff and conduct performance evaluations.
• Coordinate and own the team’s daily activities; set work schedules and deadlines.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and safety procedures.
• Ensure staff have the information and materials to complete work accurately and on time.
• Develop cost estimates for work orders and maintenance projects.
• Establish and maintain budgets for facilities maintenance.
• Mentor others to develop expertise across the function.
• Lead by example aligning with CBRE RISE values and influence senior stakeholders.
• Contribute to achieving customer, operational, and service objectives across teams.
