Job summary

ABM Industries in Orange County is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee the maintenance and reliability of mechanical and electrical systems in a Class A property. You will supervise staff, respond to client requests, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires 5+ years of supervisory engineering experience, strong leadership, and knowledge of building automation systems. Day shift, Monday–Friday, with a comprehensive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience at a chief or supervisory level.
• Engineering skills applicable to a range of systems and maintenance programs.
• Strong verbal and technical writing skills.
• Ability to analyze complex technical issues and manage regulatory compliance modifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance operations and ensure high tenant/client satisfaction within budget.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and related systems.
• Inspect asset condition and maintain inspection reports.
• Coordinate with management, leasing, and project teams on maintenance issues.
• Order materials and manage work assignments to schedule.
