Technical College of the Lowcountry seeks a Building Construction Technology (BCT) Instructor to deliver quality instruction and manage students enrolled in BCT courses, while advising students in the Building Construction Technology Programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience working in Building Construction field as a residential builder, electrician, and/or plumber.
• Associate’s Degree in the appropriate discipline is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop the BCT curriculum with advisory committee participation.
• Teach courses as assigned and provide high quality instruction in BCT.
• Advise and maintain records for assigned student advisees and coordinate with Student Services.
• Represent the division in professional meetings and stay current with educational innovations.
• Engage in college/community service and contribute to program marketing and outreach.
• Maintain Building Construction Technology labs and ensure labs meet state-of-the-art standards.
