Job summary

Universal Orlando is seeking a Utilities Supervisor to oversee resort-wide life safety, security control, environmental building management and utilities systems. Responsibilities include energy conservation initiatives, budget development, and supervision of electrical, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and electronic control teams.

The role requires coordinating with utilities and regulatory bodies, ensuring safety, and supporting ride and facility maintenance to maximize operational availability.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in industrial/commercial utilities operations.
• 5-7 years combined operation and maintenance of utilities systems and associated equipment.
• Licenses/certifications such as Journeyman Electrical, Journeyman Plumber, HVAC License A or B, and EPA Universal Refrigerant Handling.

Responsibilities

• Develops and communicates resort-wide utility budgets and supervises Electrical, HVAC, Mechanical, Plumbing, Electronic Control and Fire Alarm work.
• Coaches, counsels and evaluates utility technicians and implements staff development plans.
• Oversees routine maintenance, PM schedules, and response to emergencies while ensuring safety.
• Implements energy conservation goals to reduce costs and optimize equipment efficiency.
• Coordinates with ride/show and facility maintenance on utilities/MEP issues for reliability.
• Communicates with utilities and government agencies to ensure reliable service and compliance.
