Job summary

DFW Airport seeks a Building Automation Systems Specialist to plan, implement, and support BAS/DCS across facilities. The role includes collaboration with project teams, vendors, and IT staff to ensure secure, efficient control of HVAC, lighting, and other systems.

Key responsibilities include system design for new builds, maintenance of equipment, backup and disaster recovery, and development of networked strategies including firewall rules and access controls.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in engineering, energy, computer science, or related field.
• Four years combined experience including BAS or DCS and/or enterprise centralized and real-time industrial process applications and maintenance.
• Formal training in computer science/technology.
• Formal training in BAS/DCS technology, or related industrial systems control applications and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design BAS/DCS in new construction and renovations with project teams.
• Assist with vendor activities for repair/upgrade of systems and report progress to BAS Manager.
• Ensure backup and disaster recovery for managed systems.
• Maintain specifications for BAS/DCS systems in support of projects.
• Develop networking, server operation, access, and firewall strategies for BAS/DCS across networks.
