Job summary

Curtis Contracting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a focus on bridge construction and heavy civil infrastructure.

You will oversee planning, coordination, and execution of bridge and highway projects, ensuring adherence to specifications, schedules, and budgets. Responsibilities include leading projects from pre-construction to closeout, developing schedules and budgets, managing contracts and changes, maintaining safety and environmental standards, and coordinating with DOT

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5–10+ years of experience in heavy civil and bridge project management.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts (VDOT specs preferred), scheduling software, and cost tracking tools.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage bridge and heavy civil construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost control procedures
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure efficient communication and execution
• Oversee contract administration and change order management
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Provide leadership and direction to field personnel and subcontractors
• Work closely with DOT and public agency stakeholders to maintain project alignment and quality
