Job summary

Curtis Contracting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager specializing in bridge construction and heavy civil infrastructure in Virginia.

You will oversee planning, coordination, and execution of bridge and highway projects, ensuring schedules and budgets align with project specs. The role requires a strong background in civil construction, proven leadership, and collaboration with DOT/public agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 5–10+ years of experience in heavy civil and bridge project management.
• Proven track record delivering DOT-related infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, scheduling software (Primavera P6 or MS Project), and cost tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage bridge and heavy civil construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost control procedures
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure efficient communication and execution
• Oversee contract administration and change order management
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Provide leadership and direction to field personnel and subcontractors
• Work closely with DOT and public agency stakeholders to maintain project alignment and quality
