Job summary

Atlantic High School in Atlantic, IA is seeking a Head Boys Golf Coach to lead the boys golf program. You will teach fundamentals, promote teamwork and sportsmanship, and create a positive, safe team environment for student-athletes.

Responsibilities include supervising practices and matches, managing travel, rosters and equipment, and coordinating with the Activities Director to support scheduling and team needs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of golf rules, etiquette, and instruction, including IHSAA standards.
• Experience coaching at school or club level preferred.
• Ability to build positive relationships with student-athletes.
• Completion of Iowa coaching certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and oversee the boys golf program.
• Teach fundamentals, rules, etiquette, course management and strategy.
• Supervise athletes during practices, matches, travel and team activities.
• Coordinate scheduling, transportation, rosters and equipment with the Activities Director.
• Adhere to school, conference and IHSAA rules and expectations.
• Communicate clearly with players, parents, administration and media.
• Promote golf within the school and community.
• Represent Atlantic High School in a professional manner.
