Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a senior leader to head Body Interior Engineering for Ford Racing vehicle programs. You will own interior design, development, validation, and certification, guiding supplier and internal teams to deliver high-performance interior systems on time and within cost targets.

You will collaborate with Program, Design Studio, Purchasing, Finance, and Core Body Engineering, while coaching your team to innovate. Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of Body Interior design and release experience.
• Understanding of GPDS deliverables and core Ford engineering tools.
• Experience launching new vehicle programs.
• Ability to manage complex tasks under compressed timing.
• Experience communicating with senior leaders, design studio, marketing, and suppliers.
• Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to make technical and business trade-offs.
• Effective coaching and mentoring skills.
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
• Ability to build cross-functional relationships and demonstrate Ford+ Leadership.
• Occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, engineering, validation, and certification of Body Interior systems.
• Own Body Interior system integration and program delivery against QCWFT targets.
• Direct suppliers and internal resources for sourcing and execution.
• Manage deliverables for GPDS milestones, BOM, WERS, AIMS, 5/8Ds, and sign-offs.
• Coach teams to develop innovative, performance-focused interior solutions.
