Job summary

Genentech is seeking a Principal Project Scheduler to develop and maintain Integrated Project Master Schedules for complex GMP biotech capital projects across multiple sites. You will serve as the scheduling expert, driving collaboration with cross-functional teams, contractors, and leadership to keep programs on time and within scope.

You will apply Lean Construction, Last Planner System, and advanced scheduling analytics (CPM, EV, Monte Carlo) to forecast, optimize, and mitigate risks, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, or Business Administration (PMI/ACCEi optional).
• 8+ years of scheduling experience; 6+ years with a Master’s degree.
• PMI/ACCEi Project Control certification or equivalent qualification.
• Biotech or pharmaceutical CAPEX project experience in GMP environments.
• Strong ability to lead in a matrix organization and influence outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Integrated Project Master Schedules per Roche standards.
• Establish WBS, work packages, and discipline schedules; review contractor and vendor schedules.
• Lead pull planning sessions and implement Last Planner System and Lean Construction.
• Perform schedule analyses: CPM, float trends, earned value, and Monte Carlo risk simulations.
• Support RFPs, bid reviews, and vendor evaluations to assess schedule capabilities.
• Monitor progress with site walks and provide timely status, variance analysis, and early warnings.
• Assist with strategic planning and what-if analyses for decision making.
