Job summary

Methodist LeBonheur Healthcare in Memphis, TN is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Specialist to maintain and service advanced medical devices across the MLH system. You will act as a subject matter expert, mentor others, and coordinate with Clinical Engineering leadership to ensure equipment reliability.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related fields, 5–7 years of clinical engineering experience, and a valid Tennessee driver license.

Qualifications

• Requires Biomedical Engineering knowledge and ability to maintain complex clinical equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication with clinical staff and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic maintenance and safety inspections on anesthesia machines, ventilators, lasers, dialysis equipment, and monitors.
• Maintain documentation for all equipment purchases, evaluations, and lease/rental devices.
• Identify causes of malfunctions and implement effective repairs.
• Support inventory control and parts management for clinical equipment.
• Provide expert guidance to Clinical Engineering management and other positions within MLH system.
