The Biomedical Equipment Technician I performs operational and safety testing, maintenance and repairs on general patient care equipment for Methodist Healthcare. What you will do

Education/Formal Training Requirements

• Required - Associates Degree Biomedical Engineering
• Preferred - Associates Degree Computer Engineering
• Preferred - Associates Degree Electrical Engineering
• Preferred - High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience Requirements

• Preferred - Internship
• Preferred - Substitutions allowed: In lieu of Associate's degree, the candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent with three (3) years of experience in Clinical Engineering, electronic engineering, computer, or related engineering experience. 3-5 years

Licenses and Certifications Requirements

• Required - Class D Driver License -Tennessee - Tennessee Motor Vehicle
• Preferred - Class R Driver's License - Mississippi - Mississippi Motor Vehicle
• Preferred - Class D Driver's License - Arkansas - Arkansas Motor Vehicle

Supervision Provided by this Position

• There are no leads or supervisory responsibilities associated with this role.

Physical Demands

• The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
