Job summary

The role includes routine preventive maintenance and documentation for a wide range of devices and systems.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s degree in Biomedical Engineering (or equivalent), with preference for related engineering disciplines and internship experience.

Qualifications

• Required - Associates Degree Biomedical Engineering.
• Preferred - Associates Degree Computer Engineering.
• Preferred - Associates Degree Electrical Engineering.
• Preferred - High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Preferred - Internship.
• Preferred - Substitutions allowed: In lieu of Associate's degree, the candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent with three (3) years of experience in Clinical Engineering, electronic engineering, computer, or related engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance and electrical safety inspections of clinical equipment, devices, and systems.
• Maintains documentation and inspects/tests all newly purchased, evaluation, demo, leased or rented medical equipment.
• Determines cause of problems or malfunctions of minor medical equipment.
• Orders supplies and parts for preventative maintenance activities and services.
• Demonstrates initiative in identifying opportunities for self- development and enhancement of professional competency.
• Performs other job functions as assigned or requested.
