Job summary

Devyantram seeks a senior Bioengineering Lead to own the living-systems layer of the CEREBRION platform, from concept to deployment. You will oversee engineered neural tissue and biohybrid substrates, guiding neural-emulating substrates and their integration with other platform components.

You will drive cross-disciplinary collaboration with photonics, mechatronics, and controls teams, set biosafety standards, and mentor the wet-lab team to advance durable, self-learning biologically informed

Qualifications

• Must have MS or PhD in Bioengineering or related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on R&D across living-systems and bioelectronic work.
• Strong living-systems foundation in neural tissue, biohybrid systems, or organoids.
• Hands-on experience with bioelectronic interfaces coupling biology to electronics/optics.
• Proven ability to take living or materials-based systems from bench to integrated use.

Responsibilities

• Own the neural substrate of CEREBRION across living and engineered forms.
• Develop engineered neural tissue and biohybrid substrates.
• Design and build neural-emulating substrates using iontronic approaches.
• Lead integration with photonics and micro/nano teams for fabrication and physics.
• Establish biosafety, ethics, and reproducibility standards for living-systems work.
• Lead wet-lab and bioengineering team mentoring and growth.
