Job summary

Bexorg, Inc. is seeking a Principal Embedded Software Engineer to own the electronics, firmware, and real-time control that make BrainEx work.

You will span physiology-driven requirements to schematic, board, firmware, Python supervision, and a validated rig running production fleets. You will collaborate with bioprocess engineers, surgeons, perfusion technicians, software engineers, and drug discovery scientists to tighten closed-loop control, extend run duration, and expand the experimental

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience shipping embedded systems in production or mission-critical environments.
• Fluency in C/C++ on microcontrollers with RTOS concurrency and peripheral programming.
• Strong Python skills for supervisory control, data pipelines and tooling.
• End-to-end ownership: requirements, schematic/board design, firmware, validation.
• Practical control-systems ability including PID/cascade tuning and stability considerations.
• Experience with fluidic or process control systems and sensor/actuator integration.
• CAD proficiency and ability to design for manufacturability; wet-lab readiness.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own the embedded stack from architecture through field deployment and fleet-wide rollout.
• Implement robust control loops (PID, cascade) and deterministic real-time behavior.
• Design and bring up custom electronics, sensors, and actuators; ensure EMI/grounding integrity.
• Develop Python tools for calibration, data logging, and automation; support operator interfaces.
• Collaborate with bioprocess engineers, surgeons, and software teams to optimize BrainEx performance.
