Job summary

RRD is seeking a Bindery Operator at its Greensboro, NC location. The role involves setting up, adjusting, and operating a variety of bindery machines, including perfect binders with multiple stations, while inspecting equipment for safety and maintaining quality throughout the production line.

The ideal candidate will coordinate multiple work stations, mentor team members, and ensure adherence to company policies and best practices.

Qualifications

Knowledge of set up and adjustment of bindery equipment to run standard and specialized processes.
Understanding paper weights, sizes, kinds, and color to anticipate machine adjustments.
Ability to use hand tools and machine tools to maintain bindery equipment.
Ability to read and follow written work indicating machine operations and tolerances.

Responsibilities

Set up, adjust and operate binding machines.
Inspect equipment for safety issues to prevent downtime.
Operate perfect binders with multiple stations and coordinate tasks across stations.
Make adjustments to synchronize work stations and ensure smooth production flow.
Direct and mentor crew through production processes and policies.
Monitor quality, output and productivity to meet targets.
Provide training to new and current employees on policies and best practices.
