Qualifications

• Read and interpret work orders with bindery specs to maintain dimensional accuracy
• Calculate distances, clearances, and fits for machine setups
• Operate bindery machines and adjust settings to finish products
• Knowledge of complex bindery equipment and folding/collating operations
• Understand machine capabilities/limits to perform folds, cuts and finishing
• Know paper stock types and their machining requirements

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust various bindery machines
• Operate bindery machines to produce final books, catalogs, or magazines
• Direct crew through production steps and monitor output
• Inspect equipment for safety and ensure quality standards
• Make adjustments to optimize weight, color and finish of printed materials
• Maintain operating conditions and ensure accuracy of completed products
