Job summary

Amsive in Hobart, IN is seeking a Bindery / Finishing Supervisor to lead daily operations, staffing, and production priorities in a high-volume print/mail environment. You will ensure work is safe, on time and to customer specifications, coordinating with production, prepress, pressroom, and shipping to sustain smooth workflows.

The role requires 3+ years in bindery/finishing with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity, strong knowledge of SOPs, quality control, and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in bindery, finishing, commercial printing, or related production.
• Minimum of two (2) years of previous supervisory, lead, or team leadership in a manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of bindery/finishing processes, equipment, materials, workflow, and quality requirements.
• Experience planning and coordinating labor, equipment, and production resources.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct daily bindery/finishing operations, staffing, workflow, and priorities.
• Review schedules, tickets and specs to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Assign staff to equipment and areas based on workload and skills.
• Monitor workload, capacity, bottlenecks and scheduling conflicts.
• Ensure employees understand specifications and quality requirements before production.
• Maintain compliance with SOPs, safety policies and customer specs.
• Coordinate with other departments to sustain efficient workflow and commitments.
• Train, coach, and develop employees; promote cross-training and accountability.
