Job summary

The LiRo Group in New York City is seeking an experienced BIM Specialist to manage and coordinate BIM efforts for a design-build project under the NYC Department of Design & Construction. You will lead BIM training, ensure model quality, and support project teams from design through handover.

Candidates should have 8+ years of BIM/3D modeling experience with Autodesk software and strong collaboration skills to drive project efficiencies. This is a full-time, on-site role at the NYC PMO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering, or related discipline, required.
• 8+ years of progressive BIM/3D modeling experience, focusing on Autodesk software.
• Expertise in Revit and BIM programs is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AEC industry standards and workflows.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver BIM training sessions for project staff and mentor junior team members.
• QA/QC BIM models to meet program requirements and ISO 19650 or client standards.
• Produce BIM progress reports, model audits, and lessons‑learned documentation.
• Lead BIM workshops, coordination meetings, and review sessions with clients and stakeholders.
• Oversee clash detection, model federation, and data exchange across design, construction, and handover phases.
