Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician for our new inpatient detox and residential facility in Richmond, VA. You will manage daily residential operations and supervise the BHT team to ensure a safe, supportive environment for clients.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, CPR certification, and a year of sobriety if in recovery. Strong leadership and empathetic communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily residential operations (i.e. Intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, medications etc.)
• Train and support BHT team in all operations and responsibilities
• Escalate any concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment
• Ensure client and BHT compliance to all Avenues rules, policies and procedures
