Job summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR subsidiary, seeks a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) Engineer to drive innovative BEV technologies. You will lead design concepts, perform validation through analytics and prototyping, and move programs from concept to full production in PACCAR's electric powertrain initiative.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• 2+ years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of design concepts; refine via analytic tools and prototyping; plan and execute validation activities; support pilot builds; launch product into full production.
• Ability to manage deliverables across multiple projects, providing guidance on applications of tools/processes.
• Collaborate in a small-team environment to explore and evaluate advanced vehicle technologies.
• Provide guidance and coaching to engineers; maintain DFMEA and DVP tasks/deliverables.
• Collaborate with suppliers to enable integration and validation of electric powertrain components into PACCAR trucks.
• Use Six Sigma and internal processes to ensure high-quality results, track progress and report updates.
• Manage supplier activities related to design and manufacture of components; coordinate with multiple PACCAR divisions.
• Handle multiple priorities; support pilot builds at PACCAR truck factories.
• Travel up to 15% may be required.
