PACCAR's Peterbilt Motors Company in Denton, TX, is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to design vehicle electrical systems and wiring harnesses. You will define, validate and release hardware across BEV and conventional platforms, coordinating with divisions, suppliers and customers to ensure robust integration.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in automotive electrical engineering, strong communication, and proven problem‑solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in vehicle, automotive, or heavy‑duty platforms.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, take initiative and be a team player.
• Experience with vehicle electrical systems, wiring harnesses and system integration.
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, design, validate, release and provide production support for vehicle electrical systems and components, focusing on wiring harnesses and integration.
• Apply standard electrical engineering practices to support product development, validation, and production issue resolution across platforms.
• Define and support placement of electrical components, harnesses, interfaces, and system routings for low and high voltage BEV architectures.
• Support production builds with documentation, design releases and change management.
• Own assigned electrical components/subsystems, including requirements and interface coordination.
• Collaborate with PACCAR divisions, suppliers and customers and manage multiple tasks to meet schedules.
• Travel up to 10% as needed.
