AON Pharmacy is seeking a Benefit Verification Technician Team Lead to oversee daily operations, drive workflow coordination, and ensure high-quality patient service. You will mentor the team, handle complex benefit verifications, and guide referrals to support access to medications.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, process improvements, and collaboration with internal departments to deliver efficiency and excellent patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a specialty, retail, mail order, or hospital pharmacy.
• Active, unrestricted Pharmacy Technician permit in the state of residence required.
• Willingness to obtain a Florida Pharmacy Technician permit, if applicable.
• Experience supporting operational initiatives, process improvements, and team collaboration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Benefit Verification Technician duties while providing day-to-day leadership, workflow coordination, quality oversight, and training for the team.
• Coordinate daily workflow, monitor queues, and balance workload to meet service level expectations.
• Verify patient insurance coverages, eligibility, and determine medication coverage for accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate referrals to prior authorization and financial assistance teams as needed for access to medications.
• Oversee referrals and communication with patients, providers, and dispensing pharmacies to ensure continuity of care.
• Promote compliance, quality audits, and performance reviews within the team.
