Qualifications

• Education: High school, GED, or equivalent required.
• Active/Unrestrictive Pharmacy Technician permit in state of residence; Florida permit preferred.
• Two years' experience in specialty, retail, mail order, or hospital pharmacy as a technician.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverages (private, Medicaid, Medicare) and determine medication coverage.
• Refer prescriptions to Prior Authorization or Financial Assistance teams as needed.
• Enroll patients in copay cards to assist with financial responsibility.
• Document referrals in the EMR and notify physicians/staff of dispensing pharmacy.
• Resolve COB coverage issues and assist with claim submissions across sites.
