Job summary

aoncology is seeking a remote Pharmacy Technician to support insurance verification, claims resolution, and patient referrals in oncology care. The role requires verifying insurance coverages, guiding patients through copay options, and coordinating with prior authorization teams to ensure accurate medication access.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, an active state pharmacy technician license, and at least two years of experience in specialty, retail, or hospital

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Active/unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in state of residence.
• Two years of experience in specialty, retail, mail order, or hospital pharmacy.
• Ability to work remotely and in a fast-paced multi-site environment.

Responsibilities

• Verify private, Medicaid, and Medicare insurance coverages and determine medication coverage.
• Coordinate specialty pharmacy referrals and inform patients of dispensing options and notify staff.
• Resolve COB coverage issues and educate patients on financial responsibility.
• Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers and ensure timely, professional phone support.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines and SOPs; protect patient information.
