Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health is seeking a Lead Behavioral Health Technician in St. Charles, MO to blend hands-on client support with shift leadership in Recovery Services. This full-time role emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and high-quality care for individuals on their recovery journey.

You will supervise Technicians, coordinate daily activities, and collaborate with the treatment team to maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment focused on recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, or a closely related field.
• OR High school diploma or GED with a minimum of two years of responsible employment history.

Responsibilities

• Lead Behavioral Health Technicians during assigned shifts, providing guidance and support.
• Oversee daily client activities to ensure safety, structure, and adherence to program expectations.
• Communicate relevant client behaviors, concerns, and progress to the treatment team.
• Assist with client orientation, including education on client rights and program rules.
• Support crisis de-escalation efforts under supervision.
• Complete timely documentation related to client behavior and progress.
