Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Springfield, MO seeks a Behavioral Health Technician I to provide direct oversight and compassionate support to clients in daily activities. You will monitor safety, assist with personal care, document observations, and help run group education and structured activities to promote recovery and stability.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma and relevant human services exposure, plus First Aid/CPR certification and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.2 years of responsible employment.
• First Aid and CPR certification within three months of starting employment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct oversight and support to clients/patients, ensuring safety and well-being.
• Monitor vital signs and health indicators; escalate to medical intervention as needed.
• Facilitate group education and structured activities to promote engagement and recovery.
• Document and report exceptional behaviors or areas of concern.
• Assist with personal care needs: grooming, bathing, dressing.
• Maintain records of medication administration and monitor self-administration.
• Provide transportation for clients to appointments as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
