Job summary

The Pavilion at Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Behavioral Health Licensed Therapist to support discharge planning and coordinate psychosocial interventions with the treatment team. This role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and quality patient care within a cost-effective framework.

Responsibilities include leading departmental services, coordinating patient education, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed Therapist credentials in Texas: LPC, LPC-Associate, LCSW, LMSW, or LMFT with a Texas license.
• Master’s degree in mental/behavioral health.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Current BLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates leadership in departmental services through collaboration to integrate services throughout NWTHS.
• Assesses patient healthcare and education needs with the healthcare team to meet those needs.
• Orchestrates hospital processes for seamless, efficient care.
• Allocates human and material resources to meet patient care needs.
• Complies with annual education requirements and safety standards.
