Job summary

Ability Avenues in Golden Valley, MN is looking for a passionate Lead Behavior Technician (Level 1 Provider) to join our growing team and lead a group of technicians in delivering high-quality ABA services under supervision.

You will implement ITPs, provide direct ABA therapy, mentor junior technicians, collect data, and collaborate with families and clinicians to ensure positive outcomes while maintaining compliance with provider standards.

Qualifications

• Must have or be enrolled in a Masters degree in behavioral health, child development or related fields
• RBT credential or equivalent ABA experience preferred
• Strong understanding of ABA principles and practices
• Experience with data collection and behavioral documentation
• Proven leadership, communication and teamwork abilities
• Willingness to travel to client locations around Golden Valley, MN

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans (ITPs) under supervision of a BCBA or clinical supervisor
• Provide direct ABA therapy services to clients in home, community, or clinic settings
• Lead and mentor junior behavior technicians; model best practices
• Collect, record, and maintain accurate data on client progress and targets
• Assist in development and modification of treatment plans with supervising clinicians
• Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Ensure compliance with Level 1 Provider standards and applicable regulations

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct ABA therapy services to clients in home, community, or clinic-based settings
• Lead and mentor junior behavior technicians, offering guidance and modeling best practices
• Collect, record, and maintain accurate data on client progress and behavioral targets
• Assist in the development and modification of treatment plans in collaboration with supervising clinicians
• Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members regarding client progress
• Ensure compliance with Level 1 Provider standards and all applicable regulations and ethical guidelines

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in OR hold a Masters degree in a behavioral health, child development or related fields (mental health, special education, social work, psychology, speech pathology, occupational therapy)
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential or equivalent experience in ABA therapy preferred
• Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and practices
• Experience with data collection systems and behavioral documentation
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client locations in and around Golden Valley, MN
