Job summary

A Child’s Place is seeking part-time, on-site Before School Teachers who supervise and care for school-aged children in grades Kindergarten through 5th inside Rainbow Elementary School. This collaborative role supports activities before and after the school day to keep children engaged.

Responsibilities include planning activities, greeting families, maintaining a safe environment, and communicating with the Director about incidents and needs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years (2,500 hours) of documentable experience working with children.
• Ability to successfully pass and maintain all background/clearance checks.
• Lift up to 40 lbs. and mobility to ensure safety of children.

Responsibilities

• Supervise groups of students in a safe, positive learning environment.
• Assist with organizing and monitoring appropriate activities for school-aged children.
• Submit monthly plans, supply lists, and newsletters by the assigned due dates.
• Utilize planned activities and create lessons that apply to your program’s interests.
• Greet and communicate with parents daily for the purpose of conveying and/or receiving information.
