Job summary

Saft in Valdosta, GA seeks an experienced Test Lab Manager to lead the daily operations of the battery testing laboratory, oversee lab personnel, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance for aerospace and industrial applications.

You will drive testing programs, interpret drawings, manage data acquisition and reporting, maintain FAA certification requirements, and partner with engineering and manufacturing to qualify new battery technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in testing, quality, engineering, or lab environments.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience with AS9100/ISO 9001 or similar quality standards.
• Ability to interpret drawings, procedures, and technical docs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• FAA certification for battery repairs and airworthiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the battery testing laboratory and manage staff.
• Oversee product quality, engineering testing, and data reporting.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (AS9100/FAA) and safety.
• Coordinate testing with Engineering, Manufacturing, and QA.
• Develop and maintain lab procedures, test methods, and documentation.
