Job summary

Navitas Systems LLC is seeking a Lead Product Engineer to design, develop, release, and validate battery packs for customized applications in industrial and low voltage automotive markets. You will translate user requirements into specifications and validation goals, collaborating with engineering, sales, and customer-facing teams to deliver robust products.

The role requires leading safety analyses and ensuring compliance with ISO/UL standards, while owning design documentation and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of product engineering experience in electronics, automotive, battery or mobility industries preferred.
• Knowledge of DOORS, Integrity, ViSure is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Review customer requirements and develop technical system specifications.
• Apply systems engineering methodologies to design and develop battery packs for customized applications.
• Lead the safety analyses (HARA, DFMEA, FMEDA) of the project.
• Participate in development of safety processes to meet certification requirements.
• Perform technical assessments and prepare documents for compliance to ISO/UL specifications.
• Partner with test and simulation teams in the plan (DVP) for verification and validation.
• Engage with OEM partner engineering teams to ensure proper processes and seamless integration.
• Follow and improve processes to ensure cross-functional coordination and high-quality work products.
