Job summary

Vancouver Public Schools is seeking an athletic coach to provide a comprehensive athletics program. Responsibilities include coordinating practices, overseeing games, prioritizing athlete development, and ensuring compliance with WIAA policies.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of the sport, coaching experience, and effective communication skills to work with a diverse group of students and parents.

Qualifications

• Recent coaching experience, with K-12 athletes preferred.
• Current First Aid and CPR card, or ability to obtain prior to the start date.

Responsibilities

• Develop and articulate a vision for the program that embraces character development.
• Conduct practices focusing on technique and mechanics.
• Attend and supervise athletes at games, and execute game strategy.
• Communicate effectively with diverse parties, including staff, students, and parents.
