Job summary

Esquire is seeking a senior bartender and shift lead to oversee the bar, ensuring the Trophy Room program meets standard while elevating service quality. You will train the bar team, manage par levels, and collaborate with management on inventory and program initiatives.

Minimum 3+ years in upscale or craft-cocktail settings with deep spirits knowledge. Illinois BASSET and Food Handler certifications must be obtained within specified timelines for this Chicago-based role.

Qualifications

• Deep spirits and cocktail knowledge
• Calm command of a busy bar and developing team

Responsibilities

• Lead the bar team through service; set up, run, and close the bars to standard
• Hold the cocktail and Trophy Room programs to recipe and presentation standard
• Coach bartenders and bar support; manage well organization and par
• Partner with the Bar Manager and Beverage Manager on the program, inventory, and training
