The Monsaraz San Diego is seeking a Lead Bartender/Mixologist to assist the Restaurant General Manager in overseeing bar operations, curating cocktails, and managing layout and flow. You’ll handle daily setup, breakdown, and bar cleanliness while delivering quality service and supporting profitability.

Duties include making and serving drinks, ensuring guest satisfaction, verifying legal drinking age, recording charges accurately, and aiding with inventories.

This will include the daily set-up, breakdown and overall cleanliness of the bar while ensuring quality service, guest satisfaction and the achievement/maintenance of company standards and profit maximization.**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES*** Make and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers following established guidelines, procedures and policies regarding beverage and safety controls as prescribed by company standards.* Perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner maintaining a commitment to guest satisfaction. Avoid legal challenges by conforming to the regulations of the alcoholic beverage commission.* Maximize bar profitability by ensuring portion control; monitoring accuracy of charges.* Check customer’s identification to confirm that the customer is of drinking age. Ring guest checks; collect cash and process credits and room charges in the exact manner outlined by company policies and procedures.* Complete liquor requisitions and supply lists. Know and comply with state liquor laws, obtain Tips certification. Ensure established pars are maintained.* Perform all side work duties according to side work schedules.* Helps to maintain beverage inventories at primary location, ensuring controls are in place and record keeping is accurate.
