Salary Range: This position pays $17.90 per hour, plus tips.
Lead Bartender Responsibilities
- Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
- Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort.
- Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
- Must be able to train, coach and educate bartenders.
- Actively participate in Food and Beverage Menu creation.
- Must be up to date with latest market trends and able to create seasonal cocktails.
- Comply with Silverado Resort and Spa Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient resort operations.
- Set up the bar according to resort/bar standards and ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently.
- Prepare beverages and cocktails according to the resort’s mixing and presentation standards.
- Serve guests with all beverage requirements in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
- Break down bar after the completion of functions, storing liquor, supplies and equipment according to the resort’s standards.
- Follow all state liquor laws.
- Maintain organization of all beverage at the bar and assist with the inventory when needed.
- Know resort services and facilities.
- Follow prescribed procedures in serving liquor with care to avoid problems with intoxicated guests.
- Respond to guests’ problems, complaints and accidents.
- Ensure that the bar and service areas are kept clean and tidy during service.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a bartender is a must.
- In compliance with California laws, Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handlers Certification are required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
Working Conditions and Schedule
- Long hours sometimes required.
- Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Must be able to stand and work for extended periods during customary service hours.
- Must be able to bend, stoop or reach as needed.
