Scarlet Knife in Latham, NY is seeking a Lead Bartender to join our team. You will lead bar service, craft cocktails, and deliver memorable guest experiences with passion and knowledge of spirits, wine and beer.

The role requires energetic, customer-service oriented individuals who can manage liquor costs, train staff, and work weekends and weekdays. A background in mixology and hospitality is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or bartending preferred.
• Mixology or hospitality certification preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of alcoholic beverages and bar menu items.
• Legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary .

Scarlet Knife is seeking a lead bartender to join our team! Friendly, outgoing and engaging with creativity and passion for their craft. The key person has the ability to provide outstanding customer service using their knowledge and skill to provide the guest with a memorable dining experience. In this role, you will be responsible for taking customer orders, making drink recommendations, keeping the bar area clean & inviting, creating a variety of traditional and creative cocktails. The ideal candidate is energetic, customer-service oriented, and is passionate about mixology. Available to work weekends and weekdays. The lead bartender needs to be proficient in cocktail & menu creation, as well as a working knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer. Possessing a background in training staff is welcomed, as well as rapport with liquor distributors and suppliers. The Lead Bartender needs the ability to understand and execute liquor cost and inventory. Leadership through understanding and example is paramount.
