The position starts at $16.39 per hour plus tips, with opportunities to train staff, manage shifts, and handle daily operations including opening/closing, stock, and guest issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 6+ Months of Prior Relevant Experience in a coffee shop, café, or specialty coffee environment preferred.

• Knowledgeable in product offerings, selling techniques, and service delivery for menu items.
• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; refer matters to management as needed.
• Process refunds and assist with operational support functions.
• Pack and complete orders according to guest preferences; ensure condiments and accompaniments are included.
• Perform opening and closing duties based on shift assignment.
• Unload warehouse deliveries and stock storage areas; replenish supplies and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance standards in the work area.
• Establish par levels and complete daily order sheets.

THE JOB:

As a Lead Barista at Starbucks at Vdara, you will be responsible for supporting daily operations, maintaining a clean and welcoming dining area, and providing leadership and guidance to the barista team. You will help set the stage for an exceptional guest experience through your warm hospitality, attention to detail, and commitment to service excellence. By understanding each guest’s unique needs and preferences, you will create memorable experiences and deliver the personalized service that inspires lasting WOW moments long after their visit.

THE STARTING RATE:

$16.3932 + tips

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Lead, coach, and train a shift of approximately 3-12 employees.


• Knowledgeable in product offerings, selling techniques, and service delivery for menu items.


• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer matters to management and notify a supervisor and/or Security of unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.


• Process refunds and assist with operational support functions as assigned.


• Pack and complete orders according to guest preferences, ensuring all necessary condiments and accompaniments are included.


• Perform opening and closing duties based on shift assignment.


• Unload warehouse deliveries and stock designated storage areas while maintaining organization; replenish supplies and equipment as needed.


• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance standards throughout the work area.


• Establish par levels for daily orders and complete daily order sheets.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.


• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.


• 6+ Months of Prior Relevant Experience in a coffee shop, café, or specialty coffee environment preferred.
