Responsibilities

• Take and place orders and serve and garnish food and drinks efficiently and accurately in work area as applicable.
• Collect money, while following all proper cash handling and cash procedures.
• Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the front and back of house, clear tables and counters; sweep and maintain cleanliness of dining area.
• Pack and complete orders per guests’ preference with condiments as needed.
• Label and date products per safety and sanitation procedures.
• Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment.
• Stock and replenish products; unload warehouse orders to designated storage.
• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; refer matters to management when needed.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.

THE JOB:

As an on-call Barista/Fountain Worker at MGM Grand, you will create exceptional guest experiences through friendly, personalized service. While you will primarily work at Starbucks, you may also be scheduled to support other Quick Service outlets as business needs require. By understanding each guest’s unique needs, you will craft quality beverages and food items while creating memorable moments that leave a lasting impression long after their visit.

THE STARTING RATE:

$16.2391 hourly + tips

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Take and place order and serve and garnish food and drinks efficiently and accurately in work area as applicable
• Collect money, while following all proper cash handling and comp procedures
• Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and the appearance of the front and back of house, clear tables and counters; sweep and maintain the cleanliness of the dining area without interfering with the comfort of guests
• Pack and complete order as per guests’ preference with any necessary condiments
• Properly label and date products per safety and sanitation procedures
• Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment
• Unload warehouse orders and stock the orders to designated storage maintaining organization, stock and replenish products as needed in workstation, counters, tables, etc.
• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft
• Perform other job-related duties as requested

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ year of experience as a food handler in a similar, high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Ability to work varied, on-call shifts
