Job summary

Gopuff is seeking a Shift Supervisor for our Starbucks Operations team in Jamaica, NY. Reporting to the Site Leader, you will assist with executing store operations during shifts and deploy baristas to create the Starbucks Experience for customers.

You will train new team members, coach performance, and maintain high standards for accuracy, safety and service. This role requires flexibility for varied hours and a commitment to teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of leadership experience in retail, grocery, military, restaurant or equivalent experience; 1 year in a cafe preferred.
• ServeSafe Certification highly preferred
• Starbucks or cafe experience preferred
• Ability to work with fluid schedules
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward new team members
• Learn and adapt to current technology needs
• Work both independently and with a team
• Focus on quality and pride in work
• Attention to detail and following multi-step processes

Responsibilities

• Acts with integrity and supports Starbucks and Gopuff culture.
• Maintains calm demeanor during high volume to keep store operations on standard.
• Anticipates customer and store needs and communicates with management.
• Assists with new employee training with constructive coaching.
• Provides feedback to manager on employee performance.
• Delivers clear coaching to baristas to maintain operational excellence.
• Builds positive relationships with the shift team and addresses needs.
• Executes store operations during scheduled shifts and handles opening/closing duties.
• Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
• Ensures quality beverages, whole bean, and food items meet recipes and presentation standards.
• Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines.
