Job summary

Air Education and Training Command at Vance Air Force Base seeks a Lead Barista to help launch a new cafe experience. The role supports part-time scheduling (20–34 hours weekly) with opportunities for pay raises based on performance, and includes eligibility for health and life insurance, 401K, and PTO.

The candidate will lead barista staff, prepare specialty beverages, assist customers with drink choices, handle cash and inventory, and ensure a clean, safe work environment in a busy base

Qualifications

Must have experience in and knowledge of methods and procedures relating to specialty coffee preparation.
Ability to lead one or more workers to accomplish service duties.
Must be able to follow written and oral instructions, work safely, and perform simple arithmetic.

Responsibilities

Lead coffee shop staff and coordinate daily assignments.
Prepare beverages from an extensive menu using commercial equipment.
Advise customers on drink options and customize orders.
Serve and prepare items such as sandwiches, cookies and pastries.
Manage cash bank, cash handling, and inventory; place orders with a purchasing card.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and sanitize equipment regularly.
