Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a Lead Cook to support the Executive Kitchen Team at Belterra Casino Resort. You will aid the Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine, ensuring superior culinary service and compliance with all standards.

The role requires strong cooking skills, multi-station support, and the ability to train staff, manage equipment and inventory, and coordinate with front-of-house teams. 18+ and gaming-regulatory certifications as applicable are required.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressive cooking experience, with a minimum of three years in a dinner house.
• Culinary Arts Degree or recognized apprenticeship.
• Must obtain/licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior service to customers and staff, following required standards.
• Assist all stations and lines as necessary.
• Train personnel to prepare foods per Belterra Casino Resort standards.
• Ensure items are stocked and equipment is in good working condition.
• Properly store foods and close down workstations.
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff.
• Maintain area cleanliness; report safety hazards and equipment failures.
• Attend BEO meetings and assist with inventory ordering.
