The Lead Baker is responsible for overseeing the consistent quantity and quality of all bakery products and production on a daily basis. The Lead Baker will assist the Bakery Management Team with training team members to improve baking and decorating skills, enforcing policies and procedures, ensuring that all sanitation rules and regulations are being followed (which includes bleach buckets, wearing of hats, gloves, etc.), and ensuring product is properly ordered, rotated, and organized.

Responsibilities

• Make sure all orders are filled and delivered if necessary.
• Provide the highest quality bakery products.
• Oversee and help in product rotation, such as fruit and dairy products.
• Check all orders on a daily basis to ensure readiness.
• Help fill out production forms.
• Inform supervisors of supply needs to keep operations running.
• Organize, condense, and clean freezers and walk‑ins.
• Put away incoming stock and maintain orderly storage.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation protocols pertaining to the bakery.
• Assist the Bakery Management Team in training team members.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Baker or a Culinary degree preferred.
• 3 years’ experience in a lead/supervisory role.
• General knowledge of all aspects pertaining to the bakery.
• Positive and energetic attitude with initiative.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds safely.
• Comfortable working in a hot and fast‑paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to move freely in confined spaces.
• Must adhere to appearance standards, including no visible tattoos/piercings or unnatural hair colors.
