Job summary

Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, Nevada is seeking a Baker to join our renowned bakery team. You will assist with production of pastries, breads, sweets, gelato, fillings and toppings, ensuring quality and presentation.

The ideal candidate has bakery experience or a culinary degree, can work in a hot, fast-paced environment, lift up to 50 pounds, stand long shifts, and follow grooming standards to maintain a clean kitchen.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all bakery aspects (bread, pastry, desserts).

Responsibilities

• Assist with bakery production of pastries, breads, sweets, gelato, fillings and toppings (design, execution and presentation).
• Ensure all orders are filled and delivered if needed.
• Maintain product rotation and stock organization in freezer and walk‑in area.
• Check orders daily and complete production forms as required.
• Coordinate with supervisors to obtain supplies and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

Position

Baker – Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, Reno, Nevada.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include assisting with bakery production of pastries, breads, sweets, gelato, fillings and toppings (design creation, execution and presentation).

• Make sure all orders are filled and delivered if necessary.
• Provide the highest quality that we can give.
• Oversee and help in product rotation, like with the fruit, dairy products, etc.
• Check all orders on a daily basis, to make sure that all is ready to go and help fill out production forms.
• Let supervisors know if in need of supplies to continually get the job done at hand.
• Help organize, condense, and clean the freezers and walk‑in.
• Help put away any stock that comes in and keep all items orderly.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation protocol pertaining to the bakery.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Baker or Culinary degree preferred.
• Must have a general knowledge of all aspects pertaining to the bakery.
• Must have a positive and energetic attitude and show initiative.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy pots, pans, and trays.
• Comfortable working in a hot and fast‑paced kitchen environment.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds safely.
• Be able to stand for long periods of the time.
• Must be able to move freely in confined spaces.
• MUST adhere to all grooming standards, no "visible" tattoos/piercings or unnatural hair colors.
