DiBella’s Old Fashioned Submarines, LLC seeks a Lead Baker to start early mornings, bake our signature Italian bread, and maintain high quality standards. Punctuality, reliable transport and a can-do attitude are essential.

In addition to baking, you will provide friendly customer service, prep sandwiches, keep the bakery clean, and follow Health Department rules. Full-time benefits include weekly pay, tips, paid vacation, health coverage, and meal perks.

Responsibilities

• Bake the best bread possible using the bread manual.
• Follow the location's par list for daily bake amounts.
• Keep the bakery clean and report equipment issues.
• Use safety equipment to protect crew and guests.
• Prepare and serve menu items according to portions.
• Set up deli items (cheeses, meats, breads, condiments, sauces, napkins).
• Prepare hot and cold sandwiches upon request.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness of grills, deli counter, and sinks.
• Develop a pace to handle heavy rushes.
• Fulfill all shift duties.
• Keep customer areas and storage sanitary per Health Dept. standards.
• Comply with Health Dept Regulations.

At DiBella’s our bread is the most important item we produce. The bread must look and taste great for every one of our loyal guests. The key to this is the person baking the bread on a daily basis. The morning baker candidate must possess the dedication to bake our bread the DiBella’s way every time.

Our fresh, crispy Italian bread at DiBella’s is at the very core of our business.

We started the brand based on our bread and we cannot do business without bread in our stores. It is the most important thing we do. There is just something about fresh baked bread that reminds people of home and comfort.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Lead Baker’s day begins early in the morning (exact times vary). Punctuality, dependable transportation and a can do attitude is a major factor in qualifying for this position.

When not carrying out the bakers specific responsibilities, the baker must also provide excellent, friendly, upbeat customer service while preparing and serving a wide variety of food products and complete shift duties.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Bake the best bread possible using the procedures in the DiBella’s Bread Manual
• Follow the locations par list for the amount to bake on a daily basis
• Keep the bakery clean and organized and report any equipment deficiencies.
• Utilize all safety equipment provided to ensure crew and guest safety.
• Prepare and serve menu items according to portion guidelines.
• Properly set up deli products/items such as cheeses, meats, breads, condiments, sauces, napkins, and wrap paper.
• Prepare hot and cold sandwiches at the customer's request.
• Display excellent customer service at all times.
• Ensure cleanliness of grills, deli counter, counter sink, and more.
• Develop a work pace sufficient to handle heavy rushes.
• Fulfill all shift duties.
• Maintain customer viewed areas and food storage areas in sanitary, orderly condition meeting Health Department standards.
• Comply with Health Department Regulations.
• Willingness to increase product knowledge over time.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the managers.
