Job summary
BairesDev is seeking a Principal Backend Engineer (Python) to shape the backend architecture for products serving millions of users. You will own features end to end, from design through deployment, and collaborate with product and design teams to drive the technical roadmap.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep Python expertise, AWS Serverless experience, and strong English communication. Remote work is supported with competitive USD or local currency compensation and flexible
Qualifications
- 10+ years of backend engineering experience with Python
- Hands-on AWS Serverless (Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, API Gateway) experience
- PostgreSQL and DynamoDB expertise
- Microservices and event-driven architecture
- Infrastructure as code (CDK/CloudFormation/Terraform) familiarity
- Advanced English proficiency
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend architecture on AWS serverless infrastructure
- Own complete features end to end from design to deployment
- Design microservices and event-driven systems that scale with demand
- Define infrastructure as code practices to support consistent deployments
- Design APIs consumed by web and mobile applications
- Partner with product and design teams to shape the tech roadmap
