Job summary

Farmer’s Fridge is seeking a Lead Back End Engineer to elevate our software on hardware-enabled fridges and mentor the team. You’ll drive end-to-end delivery of backend solutions, shape technical direction, and contribute to AI-driven development.

You will lead architecture discussions, perform PR reviews, and collaborate with Product to align with business goals in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Has 10+ years of software engineering experience and strong engineering practices.
• Proficient with Go or equivalent language and Linux-based environments.
• Experience integrating with hardware and device firmware; AWS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own projects end-to-end, from design through implementation, testing and deployment.
• Lead architecture discussions and mentor other engineers.
• Explore AI tooling and apply LLm-assisted development at scale.
• Improve engineering practices to accelerate delivery; work on greenfield and legacy systems.
• Collaborate with Product to stay aligned with business goals.
