Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking an Avionics Technician V to act as the subject matter expert, leading large maintenance projects and developing advanced procedures. You will liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure safety and compliance, and mentor other technicians in avionics best practices.

The role requires 7+ years in avionics, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to interpret complex schematics. Expect travel and a focus on high-quality, compliant work in demanding environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years of relevant avionics experience.
• Higher level degree may substitute for experience.
• Specialized expertise in avionics systems and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and manuals.
• Proficiency in avionics installation tools, wiring, soldering, and crimping.
• Basic understanding of spectrometer, oscilloscope, and Pitot‑static equipment.
• Must have own tools in good working order.
